Education for All Project: Bringing Hope to Orphans in Kamenge

Bujumbura Mairie, Ntahangwa – Kamenge Mirango I, September 1, 2023 — La Casa Humana Burundi (CAHUBU), has taken a meaningful step toward its mission of inclusive and sustainable community development through the “Education for All Project.”

This initiative focused on orphaned children from Kamenge hill in the capital city, Bujumbura, ensuring that they could begin the school year with dignity, confidence, and hope. A total of 23 children received essential school materials such as notebooks, pens, and rulers. For 10 of these children, the support went even further — they were also provided with school uniforms, giving them not only the tools to learn but also the pride of belonging and equality among their peers.

The distribution event was more than just a handover of supplies; it was a celebration of opportunity. For children who often face barriers to education, these materials symbolize a chance to dream, to grow, and to build a brighter future. Volunteers and community members joined together to encourage the children, reminding them that they are not alone and that their education matters.

Representatives of La Casa Humana expressed heartfelt gratitude to all those who contributed to the project: “We sincerely thank you for your invaluable support and for believing in our mission. Your generosity makes it possible for these children to pursue their education and dream of a brighter future.”

📚🖊️📏📝 The Education for All Project reflects La Casa Humana’s ongoing dedication to building stronger, more inclusive communities. By investing in education, the organization is not only equipping children with school supplies but also empowering them with hope, dignity, and the belief that they can thrive.
