La Casa Humana was established to support the most vulnerable members of society, including orphans, widows, and abandoned children. We are committed to promoting their well-being and development while striving for inclusive, sustainable, and holistic community growth.
As a non-profit organization, our mission is to:
Provide educational materials and cover school fees for orphaned children from low-income families.
- Offer meals to patients from disadvantaged backgrounds in hospitals.
- Extend financial support and create employment opportunities for widows within our community.
For many in Burundi, a single crisis (illness, crop failure, loss of income) can be catastrophic.
The Value: Our “Charity” provides the immediate safety net—access to healthcare, legal protection, or emergency food security—that prevents vulnerable families from falling into extreme poverty.

La Casa Humana du Burundi (CAHUBU) is a social welfare association based in Bujumbura that focuses on humanitarian aid, education, and support for vulnerable communities, especially children. It operates as a non-profit organization (“asbl”) and its name, derived from Latin, means “the human house” or “an organization of human charity.
